A short daily gratitude journal.
One prompt a day and a few lines in reply. gratij keeps the habit going with gentle reminders, and shows you each month what you wrote.
No account needed to start. Your entries stay on this device until you choose to sign up.
How it works
- Read today's prompt. There is a new one every day, so you are not staring at a blank page. If it does not fit, ask for another — or write without one.
- Write a sentence or two. That is enough.
- Look back each month. See how many days you wrote, your longest run, and read the month's entries again in one place.
Why prompts and reminders
Journaling habits tend to fade when there is no structure: the page is blank, the day gets busy, and a week goes by. gratij gives each day a question to answer and, if you want one, an email at the time you choose. If you have already written that day, the reminder is skipped.
What you get
Daily prompts
A rotating set of questions about people, small pleasures, progress and hard days. Each comes up once before any repeats.
Private entries
Your journal is yours. Nobody else sees it, and there is nothing to share or publish.
Reminder emails
Optional, at the hour you pick, in your time zone. Every email has a one-click way to stop.
Monthly look-back
A page for each month with the days you wrote, and an optional email on the first of the next month.
Export
Download everything as Markdown to read, or JSON to keep. Any time, including without an account.
Works on your phone
Add it to your home screen and it opens straight to today's prompt. Writing works offline and syncs later.
Where your entries are kept
Without an account, entries are stored in this browser on this device only. Clearing your browser data deletes them, so export from time to time.
With an account, entries are also stored on our server so they sync between your devices. They are not shown in our admin tools and are never included in emails — reminders and look-backs contain counts and links only. They are not end-to-end encrypted, so we will not pretend otherwise.
When you sign up, entries you wrote as a guest are added to your account after you confirm. Nothing is duplicated if you use the same account on several devices.
Free, with an optional Plus
The free version is the whole journal: prompts, unlimited entries, reminders, the monthly look-back and export. Plus adds a photo to any entry. See pricing.
